Crossroads Care Central & East Gloucestershire is an independent registered charity operating in Gloucestershire for over 30 years, based in Gloucester. We are rated “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission.
Our core purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing and help reduce the stresses experienced by unpaid carers and people with care and support needs by providing a range of high quality care services, delivered by local staff.
Our services include:
• Domiciliary and personal care for those needing support at home
• Azalea Day Clubs
• Out & About activities service
• Specialist support including: dementia and end of life care.
The organisation is governed by our board of trustees who take responsibility by focussing on
strategy, finance, risk, governance and compliance. Day to day leadership is delegated to our
Chief Executive and her team.
As a Trustee your role will be to use your skills and your personal experience to contribute to the work of the Board. You will be joining a friendly and supportive board that welcomes new members and values their contributions. We generally meet monthly, or as required.
No previous experience as Trustee is required but bare in mind the charity is essentially a business and operates a business model in order to ensure we can continue to provide much needed services to carers and individuals in Gloucestershire.
We are particularly looking for people with skills and experience in the following areas:
IT expert to assist with amalgamating and developing IT systems • Finance
• Business Development
• Social care or health background
Desirable (but not essential) knowledge and experience
• Direct connection to or identification with diverse communities across Gloucestershire
