Donation from The National Lottery Community Fund

Crossroads Care is delighted to have received funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, in recognition of our vital work supporting carers in Gloucestershire during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the start of the pandemic we had to close our Azalea day club and Out & About services and so we have adapted the way we deliver our services to ensure carers can continue to receive a break with a staff member visiting the home.
One carer said “I didn’t realise how much the breaks I received was benefiting me when my husband attended the Azalea Day Club until lockdown. Then, when the clubs had to close, I was mentally and physically drained”. My husband had not left the house since the last day at the Azalea club in March. “Now having the home support from staff, who know my husband, for 3 ½ hours a week has been a blessing and he has had so much interaction. They have given me freedom again to do what I want to”
Thanks to the National Lottery and the Government for making this possible.
