Crossroads Care Gloucestershire is a well established charity operating for over 30 years within the county. We have have a well experienced and established staff team who go above and beyond to deliver the best quality services. About Crossroads Care Gloucestershire
Crossroads Care Gloucestershire is a registered Charity that has been providing vital respite breaks to unpaid Carers and individuals with care needs in Gloucestershire for over 30 years. Our core purpose is to improve the quality of life of unpaid Carers and the people for whom they care by providing high quality care services that meet individual’s needs and support their health and well-being.
We do this by offering a range of care services to enable them to take a break from their caring responsibilities, with the peace of mind that comes from the knowledge that the person with care needs is in the trustworthy, reliable and professionally trained hands of our Carer Support Workers.
Our services operate across Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, Cotswold, Forst of Dean and Gloucester Local Authority areas and include:
• funded 1:1 respite breaks for carers provided through our partnership with Gloucestershire County Council
• our Azalea day club service provides a range of activities in various areas across the County for those that are cared for, enabling carers to have a break.
• a variety of self-funded respite packages that offer extended time away from the caring responsibility.
Overall purpose
• Efficiently manage and lead on the day to day operations of the charity. Allocate resources and monitor performance to deliver high quality services to our customers within budget.
• Manage all aspects of the staff team and provide sounds leadership to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and adhere to our policies and procedures.
• As Registered Manager, you will be directly accountable to the Chief Executive Officer and to the regulatory body, the Care Quality Commission and be accountable for the compliance and outcomes of the CQC inspections.
• You will work with the Finance Manager and Service Development Lead and any other senior manager, as part of the Senior Management team.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
• Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures.
• Understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field. Act as organisational lead for health and safety.
• To be the lead on all matters relating to Safeguarding Adults, including ensuring the policy on Safeguarding Adults is implemented across the organisation and taking into account Gloucestershire County Council’s Multi Agency Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
• As the Registered Manager, ensure the service meets, and indeed exceeds, the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 and all associated amendments and guidance.
• Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are disseminated across the organisation, as appropriate, discussed with staff, implemented and reviewed.
• Effectively manage complaints and incidents. Carry out investigations relating to the quality of the service and use the findings to make improvements.
• Ensure that the charity continues to grow, monitoring the hours provided carefully to ensure KPI’s are being met.
• Provide leadership at both a strategic & operational level to primarily the Care Manager but also the wider Crossroads staffing team, motivating, and empowering staff to develop within their roles.
• Provide accurate and detailed reports of activities for the Trustee Board, as required.
• Attend management meetings held by the CEO or other senior manager, as required.
• Take responsibility for their own personal continuing development needs.
• Deputise for the Chief Executive Officer as required
What you’ll need to succeed:
• You will have a Diploma level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent or be willing to work towards this.
• You must have a minimum of 3 years experience of managing the delivery of social care services as a registered manager.
• Experience of building positive working relationships with people who use services and their families, staff and other health and social care professionals.
• Excellent understanding of the CQC regulatory responsibilities of a Registered Manager and prior CQC inspection experience
• Demonstrable experience in managing the delivery of direct services, including staff, financial and resource management and developing positive cultures.
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills and reliable.
• Full drivers licence required.

We are looking for staff to cover the Cirencester, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud Areas

NVQ/QCF 2 qualified £11.34 plus enhancements for unsociable hours We specialise in longer care visits, enjoyed by clients and staff

Various hours and work patterns available from 15 hours per week – fulltime

We are especially looking for people who can work evenings/weekends or bank staff

No experience necessary as we will give full training and Induction

You need to be a car driver and have a vehicle to enable you to deliver care in the area, and in return you will receive a generous payment for travel time and mileage.

You will work with a person centred approach, providing compassionate and dignified care supporting client’s in their own home with care tasks or taking them out on a trip, such as shopping or to the garden centre or any other places that they may wish to spend time..
